SEA organizations Alpha, Hashtag E-Sports announce formation of new joint squad

The organizations have come together to create a new lineup under the name Alpha x Hashtag for the 2019-2020 season

The Southeast Asian organizations of Alpha and Hashtag E-Sports appear to be joining forces for the upcoming Pro Circuit season, as said organizations have announced the formation of a new joint roster. Rather than put together players from the organization’s previously established teams though, the newly formed Alpha x Hashtag has put together a collection of free agents and transfers from other organizations. Free agent and former Complexity Gaming member Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen will be playing Carry for the new squad, while Midlaner Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang and Offlaner Kim “Velo” Tae-sung have both been acquired from the roster of Geek Fam. The 2 Support positions will be held by former WarriorsGaming.Unity member Wilson “Poloson” Koh Chin Wei, as well as Chan “WinteR” Litt Binn, who transfers to the squad from the roster of Exclamation Mark. The team and its new roster appear to have a fair bit of potential coming into this season, with the veteran quartet of Meracle, Velo, Poloson, and WinteR set to guide and develop the less experienced talent of NothingToSay. While the major players within the SEA region (Fnatic, Mineski, and TNC Predator) have not yet revealed their updated rosters for the new season, the formation of this squad could potentially shift the balance of power in the region to start the 2019-2020 campaign.

The roster of Alpha x Hashtag:

Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen (Carry)
Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang (Mid)
Kim “Velo” Tae-sung (Offlane)
Wilson “Poloson” Koh Chin Wei (Support)
Chan “WinteR” Litt Binn (Support)
