Madara confirms departure from Ad Finem

The Greek Carry has parted ways with his previous squad and will be announcing a new move in the near future

Following the team’s 7th-8th place finish at the first Pro Circuit event of the season in the DOTA Summit 11 Minor, all-Greek squad Ad Finem will apparently be making a change to its roster. Carry Omar “Madara” Dabachach has announced that he has left the team’s roster, leaving Ad Finem with just 4 players on its active roster. In his announcement, Madara also stated that he would be making a further announcement regarding his future sometime soon, which would imply that there is more news set to come from the player following his departure from Ad Finem.

Madara now enters free agency as a player with a fairly respectable body of work over the past year or so. Prior to joining the reformed Ad Finem, Madara had impressed as a member of the Team Lithium/Vega Squadron lineup, and attracted a fair bit of attention to himself as a long-term stand-in for Alliance over the final months of the 2018-2019 season. The Greek Carry would have drawn quite a bit of interest as a free agent under normal circumstances, but it appears that Madara already has something new lined up following his departure from Ad Finem.

As for Ad Finem itself, the squad finds itself in need of a new player moving forward. Previously, the squad has prided itself on maintaining an all-Greek roster, but the list of active Greek Carries is not a particularly long one at the moment. If the squad truly wishes to maintain its national identity, then the possibility exists for the team to take a chance on a lesser known or less proven player to fill its roster vacancy. Additionally, the squad could simply look to pick up a Carry from another European region, putting an emphasis on adding a more experience candidate as opposed to keeping up an all-Greek lineup.

The roster of Ad Finem following the departure of Madara:

Dimitris “ThuG” Plivouris (Mid)
Kharis “SkyLark” Zafeiriou (Offlane)
Verros “Maybe Next Time” Apostolos
Giorgos “SsaSpartan” Giannakopoulos (Support)
